Description

This series holds a wide variety of reports (and, in some cases, supporting volumes of data tables), prepared by business entities of which Irving Saulwick was a principal or employee.

The reports are based on qualitative research (focus groups), qualitative research (surveys), or on a combination of the two. A small number of reports prepared by other bodies and retained by Irving Saulwick for reference purposes are also present.

The topics covered by items in this series are diverse, including: aboriginal reconciliation; local community amenity and developments; employment and industrial relations; schools and education; mining; the demutualisation of building societies; privatisation of the Victorian State Electricity Commission; the sale of Telstra; election surveys; hospitals and health services; public housing; corruption; and the environment.

A survey conducted in the Lindsay electorate for the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) by Irving Saulwick and Associates.

Unpublished spiral bound volume based on 400 telephone interviews with participants resident in the New South Wales electorate of Lindsay. All interviews were conducted on the evening of Monday 21, October 1996; a by-election for the electorate had been held on the preceding Saturday. Interview questionnaire and computer tables are included as appendices to the report.

Spiral bound report, based on telephone interviews conducted between 7 -13 December 1999 with a random sample of 600 Victorians aged between 16 and 24 years. Interviews were distributed throughout Victoria in proportion to area population. Questionnaire and survey data tables are included as appendices to the report.

A public version of the report (A5 booklet of the same title), issued by the Melbourne Water Corporation and the Australian Conservation Foundation, is enclosed loose in the volume.

There were 56 trade unions represented at the forum and 267 participants. Guests from industry, the Aboriginal community, ACOSS (Australian Council of Social Services), church groups, the environmental movement, the Labor Party, and the Democrats also particpated in the Forum.

An Evaluation of the Seasons for Growth Program - Quantitative Phase: Final Report
